7th Bead Soup Party, second reveal

Esfera jewelry bead soup party reveal two

The Bead Soup Party is hosted by Lori Anderson. She matches us up with a partner and we swap a clasp, focal and some extra coordinating beads. That’s part one of the fun: mixing up a lovely Soup for our partner.
Part two of the fun is creating something beautiful with the Soup you received and share it on reveal day. This year over 500 creative people are participating, so the reveal is spread out over a couple of weeks.

New bracelets and one necklace

White and pink bracelet with porcelain, ceramic, wood and resin

Today I decided to have a relaxing day as my family and I had a rough couple of weeks behind us.
My dad was in and out of the hospital several times, because of the really bad condition of his heart and his kidneys. But he is home again, after having his last operation last Wednesday.

I  created some lovely new jewelry with some of my new bead goodies. I hope you like them as much as I do.

Bead soup party update

Esfera Jewelry bead soup party update

I’m so sorry I’m late with my blog about the bead soup party. With my exams and my dad in hospital I just didn’t find the time. But here is my first update.

My bead soup partner is the very talented Hajer Waheed from the Kingdom of Bahrain. She can do amazing things with beads, especially with those tiny little seed beads I love so much.

In the spotlights

Esfera Jewelry Valentine bracelet give-away

Happy weekend ya’all.
The last couple of weeks were kinda boring for me: work, work, work and study, study, study. Almost no time what so ever to let my creative personality “speak”.
So I’m so happy I had my exams yesterday and I will finally have time again to create jewelry with my ever-expanding hoard of beads. At least, if I pass the exams…fingers crossed. Will know in 6 weeks.

So instead of showing off some of my creations I want to share some of my favorite bead artists

Valentine bracelets...winners announced

Esfera Jewelry Valentine bracelet give-away

In January one of my favorite online bead suppliers SmittenBeads organized a Valentines challenge.
These were my entries for this challenge. And amazing...I won a price. I won the third price with the heart bracelet. I'm still dancing full of joy. And to celebrate this with you, I decided to giveaway one of the bracelets.
The only thing you had to do was leave a comment.
Today I have picked not one...but two winners!!!!

Valentine challenge and give-away

Esfera Jewelry Valentine bracelet give-away

One of my New Years resolutions for 2013 is to participate in challenges and blog hops. In January one of my favorite online bead suppliers SmittenBeads organized a Valentines challenge.
Participants could buy the Valentine challenge pack and make with it what they wanted. You only knew what was in the package the moment you received it. If you wanted you could use some of your own supplies as well. But the big challenge was to use as much of the package as possible.
The big reveal is today.

Art bead earring challenge, reveal #2

Esfera Jewelry with bronze from Theatoo and Czech glass

The Art Jewelry Elements team is hosting a year-long Earring Challenge in 2013.
Participants will sign up for 13 weeks at a time to make one pair of earrings every week with an art bead or component that was made by another bead artist or by one's own hands!
When we post the earrings, we then give credit to the artist that made the bead or component.

Art bead earring challenge

Esfera Jewelry earrings with ceramic beads from Bo Hulley

This is the very first time I’m participating in a challenge and I cannot express how exited I am. And a bit worried as I have committed myself to create one pair of earrings every week, containing art beads, for the coming 13 weeks.

Jewelry makeover part 1

Esfera jewelry pearl and lampwork bead necklace

How about freshen up some old, unsold, designs? That’s what I thought, rummaging through my collection of handmade jewelry. Some designs could do with a nice makeover.
