This month my guest in my series of interviews with bead artists is the very talented American Polymer clay and jewelry artist Jetta Sellers.
Jetta creates lovely whimsical jewelry and polymer clay beads which she sells on Etsy under the name Jettabugjewelry. Her work is published numerous times in magazines like Stringing. I admire her work for a long time and yes, her beads found their way into my not so little stash as well. Some of her gorgeous pieces as well as one of my pieces with her gorgeous beads will be published in the 2014 issue of 101 Bracelets, Necklaces and Earrings. So I’m thrilled and honored Jetta agreed to do this interview

Reveal Bead Soup Blog Party

The Bead Soup Blog Party 2014, reveal

This year I was so happy to be able to sign up for the big Bead Soup Blog Party again, hosted by the amazing and talented Lori Anderson.

Lori matches each participant up with a partner and the fun begins.

Part one of the fun is mixing up a lovely Bead Soup for your partner, containing a clasp, a focal and some coordinating beads.

Part two is receiving a lovely Bead Soup.

Part three is creating something beautiful with the Soup you received.

And Part four is The Big Reveal.
Which is today.

Introduction to my Bead Soup Blog Party Partner

The Bead Soup Blog Party 2014, introducing my partner

The wonderful, amazing and talented Lori Anderson is hosting her Bead Soup Blog party again. For the 8th time already.

Last year over 500 talented designers from all over the world joined in the fun. This year will be around the same. I can’t even start to imagine what amount of organization this takes.
I’m so grateful that Lori is doing this. Especially considering her health problems. Lori, a big big thank you.

The original blog hop was scheduled yesterday but it is postponed to next Saturday. Which was just working out perfect for me.

I was way to busy to be able to make something beautiful with the gorgeous soup I received before last Saturday. And now I have the opportunity to properly introduce my bead soup party.

Jewelry shop in Tolo, Greece

Jewelry shop Carmen, Tolo, Greece, Peloponnese

Since a couple of months our house is parked on a campsite on the peninsula of Greece called The Peloponnese, close to the lovely town Nafplio. Always on the look out for lovely jewelry and beads I spotted a gem of a jewelry shop: Carmen, situated in the small village Tolo.

Ceramic house pendant by Blueberribeads

About a week ago I published the interview with the lovely and very talented Caroline Dewison from Blueberribeads.
And of course there was a give-away attached. The only thing you had to do for a chance to win either some gorgeous beads from Blueberribeads or a lovely piece of jewelry from me, was to leave a comment.

Today the winners will be picked by Random Picker.

Ceramic and lampwork beads, interview with Caroline Dewison from BlueBerriBeads

Ceramic hearts by Blueberribeads

As you might know I’m doing a series of monthly interviews with bead artists I admire. And I’m so happy Caroline Dewison from BlueBerriBeads agreed to do this months interview.
Caroline is well known for her beautiful ceramic, porcelain and glass beads. I love to design with her beads. It is as if the design process just flows naturally. I’m so exited that one of my necklaces and a matching bracelet with her famous urchin beads were featured in the spring 2014 edition of Stringing magazine.
And I bet, like me, you cannot wait to find out more about the woman behind these beautiful beads. So here you go.

Bracelets and Necklaces, from old to new, makeover

Bracelet in purple and white by Esfera jewelry

I guess I’m not the only jewelry designer who has finished pieces lying around with which they are not satisfied. They either don't look right because something is missing. Or pieces, which are finished, but never made it to Etsy for whatever reason. Or pieces that made it to Etsy but are still not sold.
