Ocean, bead embroidered bracelet, finished at last

Esfera jewelry, Ocean, bead embroidery art bracelet

It is there!! It took a while, it was almost forgotten but after working on and of on it for a couple of months my ocean bracelet is finished.

The start

I started out with gluing some nice cabs on Lacy’s stiff stuff and collecting seed beads and other goodies in matching colors.

Then the fun starts. With backstitch and peyote I secured the cabs more and started “painting” around it with the seed and other beads.

I like working with beads without having a fixed idea of the end result. For me that is the most meditative way of creating my jewelry. And to be honest, I have difficulty to see if something is straight so symmetrical and me do not get along that well

After having worked on it on and of for a week, we started traveling again, so my soon-to-be finished bracelet found itself in my project bag, along with all the collected seed and other beads.

Other art beads arrived, work came along and my soon-to-be-finished bracelet was sadly forgotten.
Until my soup from Hajer, my partner in the bead soup party, arrived. She made a lovely clasp, pendant and some beaded beads with seed beads for me to work with.
My memory was triggered….didn’t I have a soon-to-be-finished-but still-not-ready bracelet lying around somewhere……

Found the bag (ahhh there are my Swarovski flowers) and in a bead frenzy I finally finished my Ocean bracelet.

And I’m mighty pleased with it, if I may say so.

After rediscovering those tiny precious beads again, I started a new project with a gorgeous handcut and polished picture jasper cab.
And I have ideas for a gypsy bracelet and a mixed media necklace. Hopefully these will not take that long to finish.

I started to teach myself bead embroidery after buying the wonderful book The Art of Bead Embroidery by Heidi Kummli and Sherry Serafini.

Both designers are my heroes when it comes to bead embroidery art jewelry. I'm always in awe when I see their art. I hope one day I will be able to make something as beautiful as theirs. At least, come close.

I’m always thrilled to hear from my readers, so please, don’t hesitate and leave a comment.

Bead Embroidery

This is a beautiful piece I love the clever clasp as well as the flow of the water.

Beautiful - you have the

Beautiful - you have the patience of a Saint! I don't know how you do it.
